Description: Crazy Like a Fox starred the criminally underappreciated Jack Warden as the devil-may-care private investigator Harry Fox, Sr., and John Rubinstein as his strait-laced son, Harrison, who was frequently an unwilling partner in solving his father’s cases. This crime-fighting odd couple was often joined by Harrison’s wife played by Penny Peyser, and the amazing Della Reese as a wise-cracking nurse at a local hospital who had a friendly, if slightly antagonistic, relationship with Harry, Sr. The chemistry on the show was pure television joy and it was very successful until frequent schedule changes caused its rating to drop. The show was created by John Baskin and Roger Shulman. Baskin was responsible for writing and producing such all-time classics as Three’s Company, The Jeffersons, and Good Times. The show’s infectious theme was composed by prolific television and film composer Mark Snow. It perfectly embodies the sense of light-hearted, feel-good adventure that permeates the show. Snow composed the themes for some of the most popular shows in television history, including Starsky & Hutch, Dallas, The X-Files, and Blue Bloods.
